Structured group therapy combining DBT skills training, mindfulness, and psychoeducation — available mornings, afternoons, and evenings at CenterPointe Hospital.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a structured group therapy program designed for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, panic, anger, and trauma. Led by Edward Flynn, LPC, sessions combine evidence-based DBT skills training with mindfulness practices and psychoeducational topics to build lasting coping strategies.
Each session runs for three hours and includes three distinct group components. The program is offered at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Louis with three daily time slots to accommodate different schedules.
Discussed triggers to symptoms indicated on mood survey. Patients explore what has been affecting their emotional state and identify patterns that contribute to distress.
Topic varies each session — including DBT, Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and more. Each topic builds skills for daily life.
